Shawn Hooper is currently a Business Development rep for Sunlight Financial. Helping to increase Sunlight’s footprint, marketshare, and reputation across Installation Partners with the help of Sunlight Rewards, 30 year Loan Products, and competitive Dealer Fees.
Shawn started his sales career in 2006, knocking doors and learning the Psychology of Selling for a little company called Atlas Marketing. The next 10 years would find him knocking and selling across several states (Austin Texas, Nashville Tennessee, Fort Wayne Indiana, Cleveland Ohio, Philadelphia Pennsylvania) and products (selling Dish Network, Direct TV, Home Automation), and ultimately jumping into the residential solar world in 2012. Moving his family to Massachusetts, he found his way to SolarCity in 2013, and after starting as a Solar Energy Consultant, was promoted to a Sales Manager position, and ultimately Sales Director. As a Sales Manager, Shawn was able to drive his team to a 68% self-generated sales rate. During this time he helped train and develop sales leaders into managers throughout the state while growing from 2 teams of 16 total reps to 6 sales teams and over 100 sales reps. In the Sales Director role, Shawn helped increase Installation Pullthrough by 20%, and was responsible for leading teams throughout New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. In these roles, Shawn was able to help hundreds of customers go solar; as well as helping hundreds of solar consultants help thousands of customers through his training and sales leadership in the Northeast for SolarCity. #DoYourJob #HustleHeartHabits
Shawn is currently living in Utah, and is happily married with 4 kids (12, 10, 6, 2). He enjoys chasing waterfalls and long walks on the beach He has many leather bound books, and his apartment smells of rich mahogany.
